Steve Easterbrook, who was ousted as CEO of McDonald's over a relationship with a colleague, resigned from Walmart's board.
The resignation from Walmart's board came less than 48 hours after Easterbrook exited McDonald's.
After Easterbrook's exit from McDonald's, the fast-food chain's stock dropped to its lowest level in more than six months. Some $4 billion in market value was lost.
