Evergy has been granted approval from the Missouri Public Service Commission to start work on a solar project in Jasper County.
The project called Foxtrot Solar Energy is planned near Asbury in the northwest part of Jasper County.
The project is expected to generate 100 megawatts of electricity for Evergy Missouri West.
