Evergy (Nasdaq: EVRG) has purchased an interest in a natural gas power plant in the Kansas City metro area.
The Kansas City-based company disclosed a $60 million purchase for an interest representing 145 MW in the Dogwood Energy Facility in Pleasant Hill.
The plant is owned by a group of public utility organizations.
