The dinner and recognition program will be at 5:30 p.m., Oct. 18 at the Twin Oaks Country Club. Tickets in advance for BPW members are $25 and $27 for nonmembers. Tickets at the door will be $30.
Keynote speaker Rose Kemp, regional administrator for the U.S. Department of Labor Women’s Bureau, will present “Today’s Businesswoman: Success as a Female Entrepreneur.”
BPW also will present awards for Member of the Year, to be announced that night, and for Businesswoman of the Year, which honors Springfield Business Journal Publisher Dianne Elizabeth Osis.
Deanna Ford, president-elect for the local chapter of BPW, said the event is one of many yearly efforts by the organization to showcase efforts of businesswomen. BPW focuses on promoting women’s workplace issues through lobbying and awareness-raising programs.
