The Evangel University Library has recently received a Smarter Kids Grant for its Instructional Resource Center, according to a university news release. |ret||ret||tab|
The $750 grant was used to finance the purchase of a Smart Board and floor stand, equipment that education majors will be able to use in learning the newest classroom technologies.|ret||ret||tab|
The Smart Board is an interactive whiteboard with a touch-sensitive surface that is connected to a computer. When a computer image is projected onto the board from a projector located at the back of the classroom, teachers and students can manipulate computer programs by touching the board as with a touch-sensitive computer screen. They can also write on the board with a Smart Pen and store the written information on a computer. |ret||ret||tab|

Evangel University is the national Assemblies of God university of arts, sciences and professions. Current enrollment is approximately 1,500 students.
