Students will be able to major in music industry and earn a Bachelor of Science in the field, with a concentration in either music business or recording technology.
“It was created in order to allow us to expand into new vocational areas within the broad field of music, and because of the demand for students with this knowledge from churches and the professional sector,” said Michael Kolstad, Evangel music professor and coordinator of the new program, in a news release.
Degree requirements are 124 credit hours, with 56 in general education, 44 in music and 24 in either music business or recording technology.
The major will comprise existing courses in music, business and communication, in addition to five new courses: Introduction to Music Technology I and II, Music Business I and II and Audio Production II.[[In-content Ad]]
