Project description: The addition of a tornado saferoom to Springfield Public Schools’ Eugene Field Elementary School will double as a gymnasium and auditorium. The precast concrete building features a basketball and volleyball court, stage and extendable bleachers. Paragon Architecture LLC is the project and landscape architect, and engineers are Toth and Associates Inc., structural and civil; and Interpres Building Solutions LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
