The European Commission today approved the $130 billion Dow Chemical and DuPont merger.
The chemical production companies agreed to significant asset sales to receive the approval.
Dow plans to sell two acid co-polymer manufacturing plants in Spain and the United States, as well a contract with a third party through which it buys ionomers. DuPont agreed to divest large portions of its global pesticides business.
