Phelps County Regional Medical Center, North Addition

Located at 1000 W. 10th Street in Rolla, this $12 million project for Phelps County Regional Medical Center is designed by Esterly, Schneider & Associates Inc., AIA, with J.S. Alberici Construction Company serving as construction manager.

Phase II of PCRMC's master plan is a three-story, 70,000-square-foot hospital addition with an estimated completion date of October 2002. This addition expands multiple hospital departments and services. An open beam entry complements the expansive glass atrium. The addition brings high visibility from I-44 with the atrium entry serving as both a main waiting area and an information center.

Department expansions include: radiation/oncology, waiting/ exam rooms, linear accelerator vault, rehabilitation/cardiac rehabilitation each with individual gyms, treatment and staff areas, education and pediatric rooms, hydrotherapy, occupational therapy and a state-of-the-art laboratory. The third-story shell space is planned for expansion in phase III of the master plan.
