The Essential Phone, a smartphone designed by Android creator Andy Rubin, is getting a $200 price drop.
The slash to $499 comes amid reports of sluggish sales for the phone, as well as the launch of new devices from Apple and Google.
Rubin founded Essential after leaving Google in 2014. The Essential Phone, which has features including a 360-degree camera, was the company's first device.
