ESPN cuts familiar faces in major layoff

ESPN has laid off several familiar faces as part of a larger cut involving 100 on-air personalities and writers.

Among those cut are former NFL quarterback and analyst Trent Dilfer, prominent NFL reporter Ed Werder, senior baseball writer Jayson Stark and host Jay Crawford.

A limited number of off-air employees also are expected to be fired.
