Ernst & Young hit with $100M fine after employees cheated on CPA exams

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission conducted an investigation that found employees of accounting firm Ernst & Young cheated on exams.

The company has been fined a record $100 million.

The SEC investigation claims Ernst & Young knew some of its auditors were cheating on the ethics portion of the certified public accountant test and other courses but did nothing to stop it.
