Erlen Group, the operator of Springfield Underground and other businesses, has named a new president and chair as part of a planned leadership transition.
Christina Angle has been promoted to president in addition to her role as chief financial officer, while John Griesemer has been appointed chair in addition to his CEO position, according to a news release. Former Chair Louis Griesemer, a company employee for 48 years, has retired from the role following his early 2018 retirement as CEO.
"John and Christina possess the strategic foresight and operational expertise needed to propel Erlen Group into its next phase of growth and innovation," said Louis Griesemer, uncle to John and father to Christina, in the release. "It gives me a great deal of comfort knowing our company is in their hands."
Angle is the fifth family member to serve as president of the industrial company that encompasses mining, logistics and real estate. John Griesemer became president and CEO in 2018.
