Equine therapy nonprofit Dynamic Strides Therapy Inc. is joining forces with The Arc of the Ozarks.
Dynamic Strides will become part of The Arc of the Ozarks effective Dec. 18, according to a news release issued this morning.
“Dynamic Strides Therapy has always been guided by a commitment to helping children reach their full potential," said Kristen Wiley, Dynamic Strides board president, in the release. "We’re confident that partnering with The Arc of the Ozarks will strengthen that mission, ensure continued quality care for the families we serve and further our impact in the community."
Founded in 2016, Dynamic Strides provides children's pediatric therapy, including physical, speech, occupational, aquatic and hippotherapy, or therapy on horseback, according to past reporting.
“We are excited about adding Dynamic Strides to our array of services at The Arc of the Ozarks," said Mike Powers, the latter organization's president and CEO, in the release. "Together, we are building a stronger foundation for the future of therapy services in our community. This partnership empowers us to expand access to high-quality hippotherapy and complementary therapeutic programs, ensuring that our mission continues to grow for years to come.”
The Arc of the Ozarks is assuming the assets and operations of Dynamic Strides through the noncash acquisition, said Karen Burnell Ruff, director of development for The Arc of the Ozarks. Dynamic Strides is retaining its name, and its employees are transitioning to employment at The Arc of the Ozarks, she said.
The Arc of the Ozarks ranked No. 1 on Springfield Business Journal's February-published list of the area's largest local charitable nonprofits. The organization reported 1,314 employees and an $88.7 million operating budget.
