Consumer credit reporting agency Equifax says a cyberattack potentially compromised sensitive information for 143 million American consumers.
The attack is the third major cybersecurity threat Equifax has faced since 2015.
Information thought to be stolen during the latest attack includes Social Security numbers and driver’s license numbers.
