Missouri State University, which began classes Aug. 20, had opening day enrollment of 17,425 at its Springfield campus, compared to last year’s 17,401. MSU’s entire system, which also includes campuses in West Plains and Mountain Grove, is expected to exceed 21,000 students for the first time, according to a school news release.
Drury University, meanwhile, reports enrollment this semester is at 5,070, including traditional and nontraditional students.
Ozarks Technical Community College’s enrollment is at 10,347 students for the fall semester, up about 3.4 percent from end-of-registration numbers last year. The school first broke the 10,000-student mark last fall.
Evangel University officials expect enrollment to be at about 2,000 students when students begin classes on Wednesday, similar to last year’s numbers.
Numbers for Baptist Bible College, Central Bible College, Southwest Baptist University and College of the Ozarks will not be available until later in the semester.
