County Library in Galena. Creative Ink Architects LLC is the architect. LaRose & Schober Engineering Inc. is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer for the 10,000-square-foot library located just off the square in downtown Galena. The project, which has an estimated cost of $1.3 million, uses an open plan with opportunities for ample natural daylighting and prairie-style architecture. There will be an administrative mezzanine, a garage for the library’s Bookmobile, conference facilities for up to 70 people and a themed children’s area. A general contractor and estimated completion date have not been determined.
