Engineer: White River Engineering Inc.

Posted online
White River is the engineer for water system improvements for the city of Exeter. The approximately $2.2 million project is being funded by a loan and grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development program, as well as a community development block grant and city revenue bonds. The project will replace about 40,000 feet of the distribution system, including piping, valves, meters and fire hydrants, along with well and tank control modifications, a new 200,000-gallon elevated storage tank and renovation of the existing 50,000-gallon elevated storage tank. The project is designed to replace a 50-year-old dilapidated water system to provide safe drinking water and adequate fire protection for Exeter. A general contractor has not yet been selected for the project, which is scheduled for completion by the end of 2008.
