John K. Forester, PE, of Scott Consulting Engineers PC is the engineer for Brookline utility improvements for the city of Republic. Contractors on the project, scheduled for completion in November, are Harper Drilling, Caldwell Tank, Huey Construction, D&E Plumbing, C-2 Project and Rice & McMan. The roughly $6.8 million project comprises the construction of a new well and a 500,000-gallon elevated storage tank near the intersection of Farm Roads 103 and 160 in Republic. The second part of the project entails approximately 15,000 linear feet of water line, 39,000 linear feet of gravity sewer pipe and a force main, with the entire project designed to serve the water and sewer needs of the annexed Brookline Village area.
