Engineer: Miller Engineering PC

Miller Engineering PC is the structural engineer for a Famous Dave’s restaurant and retail space for owners/developers Mark Coburn and Dave Jones. The architect for the project is Bates & Associates Inc., and Colvin Jones Davis LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. The project is located at the former site of Auto World of Springfield. The existing building required structural modifications to reinforce the mezzanine level for a new occupancy load, and multilevel canopies were added to shade retail space adjacent to the restaurant. A general contractor has not yet been chosen, but the project is slated for completion later this year.
