Posted online
Mettemeyer Engineering is the structural and civil engineer for Phase II of the additions and renovations to Springfield’s Parkview High School. Lohmeyer-Russell PC is the architect, and Colvin Jones Davis LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. Integrity Design Inc. is the interior designer. A general contractor has not been selected for the approximately $8.3 million project, which comprises a 49,000-square-foot addition to Parkview. Phase II, part of the 2006 bond project lineup for Springfield Public Schools, continues improvements made at the school and includes the demolition of an existing classroom wing and replacing it with a new media center, cafeteria and kitchen and a single-story classroom wing. This phase also entails renovating part of the existing facility for additional classrooms and storage, and upgrading the interiors of the remaining classroom corridors. Site elements include extensive grading and drainage analysis and design, as well as extensive underground conveyance, detention and storm water quality filtration. Completion is scheduled for 2008.
