CJW Transportation Consultants LLC has been retained by the Downstream Development Authority as the transportation and civil engineer to prepare construction plans for improvements to access at the interchange of Interstate 44 and Route 66, aka Downstream Boulevard. Palmerton & Parrish Inc. is the geotechnical engineer for the project, for which a general contractor has not yet been selected. With an estimated cost of $1.7 million, project plans include lane additions for the westbound and eastbound off-ramps and a signal at the eastbound off ramp. Completion for the project, which includes new paving and shoulders, is slated for the fall.
