CJW Transportation Consultants LLC is the engineer for public and private site improvements for Hy-Vee’s 11.2-acre commercial use development, which will be home to an 84,000-square-foot store. Site improvements include an intersection signal and geometric modifications at Kansas Avenue and Battlefield Road, the addition of an auxiliary lane to Kansas Expressway and a city of Springfield roadway from Kansas Expressway to Kansas Avenue. CJW’s responsibilities include a topographic survey, storm-water conveyance design, civil site work and preparation of easement and right-of-way deeds.
