Culture
Air Services was established in 1964, and built firmly upon the values of quality, integrity and service. Now, 58 years later these same principles continue to be the driving force behind the business. Air Services has carefully cultivated a company culture that demonstrates innovation, transparency and inclusivity. “This conscious decision to establish a welcoming and growth-minded culture was made to ensure the success of our employees, not only personally but also professionally”, said General Manager Rachel Fears. “With developmental training, team building and family-focused events, our employees can grow while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.”
Giving back to the community
Supporting local nonprofits is one of the best ways to give back to the local community and to that end, the company provides many opportunities for its employees and leadership to practice community involvement. Over the years Air Services has established active relationships with partners like Ozarks Food Harvest, Care to Learn and Community Partnership of the Ozarks. Within these relationships the company’s leadership and employees are able to actively participate in fundraising events, volunteering, and sponsoring/attending community and neighborhood events around the Springfield area. “Here at Air Services, we understand that the community is our foundation and while they are constantly supporting us, we believe it is essential to make a concerted effort to support the area we live and work in,” said Fears.
Beyond the standard benefits
While so many businesses in the area provide great benefits for their employees, Air Services prides itself in offering a benefit package that is goes above and beyond the standard insurance and retirement and is more of an investment in employees’ education and personal growth. Employees are encouraged to put their families first and take the time they need to build and maintain strong and healthy relationships with them. Self-improvement recommendations are also provided regularly and include things like financial management classes, goal setting and personal growth literature. “By putting our employees first, we are able to set ourselves apart from other organizations and reinforce our mission to encourage employee development,” said Fears.
Employee happiness is a priority
There are multiple opportunities and incentives for the team to use to make their work life positive and fulfilling. A tool allowance is available to technicians in order to ensure they are able to invest in and grow their career. Other incentives include monthly competitions and bonus incentive plans that reward employees for going above and beyond for the team and their clients.
Another bonus of working with Air Services is free snacks! The company provides all employees with complementary snacks and drinks to promote employee health, positivity and productivity. “By ensuring our employees happiness, and reducing turnover rates, our team has been able to focus on understanding our clients needs and providing exceptional service,” said Fears.
