Empire District postpones Stockton outage

A planned power outage for Empire District Electric Co. customers in Stockton has been postponed.

The Joplin-based utility had scheduled the power outage from midnight to 3 a.m. on Friday, to allow for equipment replacement in the Stockton area, but the company is postponing the outage due to weather conditions.

No new date has been announced for the outage.
