Midwest heavy civil construction company Emery Sapp & Sons Inc. has opened a new office in Branson, expanding its presence in the city.
The company held a Feb. 27 ribbon-cutting ceremony for the roughly 3,000-square-foot office at 175 Dawn Road, according to a news release. Stakeholders at the event included representatives from the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce & Convention and Visitors Bureau and area businesses.
ESS has officially operated in Branson since the 2021 purchase of Tom Boyce Excavating, and the company previously leased space in the Ollis/Akers/Arney building on Buccaneer Boulevard, said Megan Etheridge, senior communications coordinator for ESS. That lease was discontinued last year when ESS purchased the Dawn Road building from Tom Boyce to start renovating it for the new ESS office, Etheridge said.
"We have been working on heavy civil projects in Branson for a long time, but the new office allows ESS to deepen our roots in the community," Etheridge said via email. "Having an office location allows us to increase operations, project and administrative support in Branson."
ESS' projects in the Branson area include the Silver Dollar City resort and Phase 2 of Thunder Ridge, according to the release.
