The program, prompted by recent natural disasters including Hurricane Katrina, is a collaboration of the Girl Scouts, State Farm, the Red Cross and James River Assembly. Hands-on emergency preparedness lessons will be demonstrated to more than 1,500 youth and families Oct. 8 at James River Assembly. For further information, contact the Girl Scouts at (417) 862-0004.
