Elon Musk yesterday posted on Instagram the first official photo of a SpaceX space suit.
"Worth noting that this actually works (not a mockup). Already tested to double vacuum pressure. Was incredibly hard to balance esthetics and function. Easy to do either separately," Musk wrote in the Instagram post.
The suit won't be used for space walks. SpaceX plans to use them for its commercial space program designed to launch people to and from the International Space Station.
