The property that housed the now-shuttered Elle’s Patisserie LLC is under new ownership, and a separate venture is on the way.
A Greene County recorder filing shows the Joyce A. Feldman Trust on May 22 transferred the 1454 E. Cherry St. property to Cherry Street United LLC. That LLC — which also is listed as the owner with the Greene County assessor — is organized by Robert Sonnemaker, according to Missouri secretary of state records.
Elle Feldman, the former owner of Elle’s Patisserie, confirmed the sale to Cherry Street United and Sonnemaker.
“It’s going to be a food establishment that I believe is going to go beautifully with the neighborhood,” Feldman said, declining to further discuss the plans.
Attempts to reach Sonnemaker were unsuccessful by deadline. Feldman in January closed the French-style bakery and put the building up for sale at $200,000. Separately, Feldman’s business was listed for sale at $150,000, according to past Springfield Business Journal reporting.
Feldman declined to disclose the sale price to Cherry Street United. She said only the property sold.
Through the Missouri secretary of state, Sonnemaker also is listed as the organizer for Social on Patton, the 314 S. Patton Ave. restaurant that in February replaced CB Social House.
Doug Riddle, general manager of Social on Patton, in a May 22 Facebook post teased a new venture featuring “tacos and spirits” at the former Elle’s Patisserie. Riddle, who previously declined to elaborate on the plans, said more details would be released later today.
Twenty projects totaling more than 955,000 square feet are featured.
