Electronic filing of tax returns now preferred by most taxpayers

The Internal Revenue Service estimates that more than 80 percent of tax returns are now filed electronically using home computers and tax preparation software, according to the Associated Press.

According to the report, e-filing tends to be quicker and more accurate.
