Eighth city-owned property group up for bids

Posted online
The city of Springfield is accepting sealed bids for an eighth group of surplus properties, according to an announcement earlier this week.

The newest group of properties includes 13 parcels up for bid; five of those are newly listed properties, while eight have been listed previously.

Each of the parcels in the list includes a reserve price to give bidders a better idea of what the city will accept to cover costs and expenses.

The five new properties listed for sale, all zoned for residential single-family use:

• 1057 W. Grand St., with a reserve of $8,500;

• 1506 W. Walnut Lawn St., with a reserve of $20,000;

• 3409 S. Parkhill Ave., with reserve of $25,000;

• 3061 W. Grand St., with reserve of $11,000; and

• 1116 N. Forest Ave., with a reserve of $7,000.

Bids for the properties will be accepted until 3 p.m. on May 24. A full list of the properties is available on the city Web site.[[In-content Ad]]
