Egypt grabs $12B bailout

The International Monetary Fund has agreed in principle to grant Egypt a $12 billion three-year loan facility.

The funding is designed to help the country's reform program and plug a budget gap.

"Egypt is a strong country with great potential but it has some problems that need to be fixed urgently," said Chris Jarvis, the head of the IMF's mission in Cairo.
