Egypt has started work on an expansion of the Suez Canal.
The state-owned Suez Canal Authority is extending a second lane that opened in 2015. It's also widening and deepening a single-lane stretch at the southern end of the canal.
The expansion comes after the Ever Given container ship got stuck in the canal for six days in March.
