Egg prices hit record high in March

Egg prices climbed to a record high in March, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Prices for eggs were up 5.9% last month to $6.20 per dozen. That compares with a 10.4% increase in February and 15.2% in January.

Compared with a year earlier, egg prices are up 60.4%.
