Edward Jones has made layoffs that include employees in the St. Louis area.
Officials with the financial services firm said the 259 impacted employees were part of the company's "home office." The company has home offices in St. Louis, Tempe, Arizona, and Ontario, Canada.
The cuts follow the exit of 552 employees who agreed to a voluntary separation plan earlier this year.
