The Trump administration's Education Department is releasing contested K-12 funds that have been frozen.
The funding goes toward migrant education, English-language learning and other programs.
The administration announced around a month ago that $6.8 billion in K-12 funds would be held as staff conducted a review. Some $1.3 billion for before- and after-school programs was released in mid-July.
