“Macow’s Morning Madhouse” airs live 5:30 a.m.–10 a.m. Monday through Friday on Pure Rock Z106.7 KZRQ.
The Chicago-born show features celebrity guests, topical discussions, entertainment and music, stunts and prank calls.
In the beginning of the show’s 11-year run, Muller earned a reputation for his sexual content and inflammatory remarks and was the subject of thousands of dollars in Federal Communications Commission fines.
Muller has since removed the controversy from his show, while continuing to keep it edgy and entertainment-oriented, said Rex Hansen, vice president and general manager for KZRQ.
“Things have changed pretty remarkably in the last couple of years,” he said. “That’s making a difference with listeners.”
TRN Radio Networks is syndicating the show on the Journal Broadcast Group station. The group also operates four other stations in Springfield: Power 96.5 KSPW, NewsTalk 104.1 FM, 1260 AM KSFG and 94.7 KTTS FM.
This installment of Springfield Business Journal’s Architects & Engineers Project Report showcases 26 endeavors by area design and engineering professionals.
