A panel of 47 economists surveyed by the National Association for Business Economists dropped their forecasts for U.S. gross domestic product growth in 2021.
The economists now expect an increase of 5.6%, down from a 6.7% prediction in May.
The downgrades, according to CNN Business, reflect damages brought on by the delta variant of COVID-19.
