Honoring excellence in business and impact on the community, Jordan Valley Community Health Center co-founder Dr. John Bentley will receive Lifetime Achievement in Business honors during Springfield Business Journal’s 2014 Economic Impact Awards.
Chosen by an independent panel of judges, the award is one of several to be presented during the 14th annual awards banquet, scheduled July 24 at the Ramada Plaza Hotel & Oasis Convention Center, 2546 N. Glenstone Ave.
Mercy Hospital Springfield will receive Philanthropic Business of the Year honors, Springfield Economic Development Director Mary Lilly Smith will be recognized as the Business Advocate of the Year, and Alisa Lawler, vice president of business development with CU Community Credit Union, will be honored as Community Involvement Champion.
Economic Impact honors also will be announced in three categories based on years in business. Finalists, in alphabetical order, are:
- Club Z! In-Home Tutoring Services Inc., Paragon Architecture Inc. and Phoenix Home Health Care Inc. in the one to five years in business category;
- H Design Group LLC, Kuat Innovations LLC and Layer 3 Technology for the six to 15 years in business category;
- JMark Business Solutions Inc., TSI Technology Solutions LLC and Watson Metal Masters Inc. for 16 to 29 years in business; and
- Buzbee Dental Clinic PC, Guaranty Bank and Mercy Hospital Springfield for 30 or more years in business.
