Actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is part of an investor group that agreed to purchase the XFL for $15 million.
The professional football league filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April and has been seeking a buyer.
The investor group also includes Johnson's business partner, Dany Garcia, who is becoming the first female owner of a major American sports league.
