DuPont names permanent CEO

Chemicals and seeds company DuPont appointed interim CEO Edward Breen permanently to the job.

Breen, who also will serve as chairman, has worked in the interim since Oct. 16, when Ellen Kullman suddenly stepped down.

Under Breen's tenure, the company is expected to revisit its costs and budget allocation as it targets about $1.6 billion in annual savings by 2017.
