Dunkin’ Donuts to open 14 restaurants around St. Louis

Dunkin’ Donuts this week announced plans to open 14 new restaurants in the St. Louis area with former NFL players as franchisees.

The chain signed a franchise agreement with Berliner III LLC, led by former NFL players Kris Brown and Zach Wiegert.

Brown and Wiegert’s venture, which also operates Dunkin’ restaurants in the Omaha, Neb., area and north Kansas City, is working with Omaha realtor David Scott to develop Berliner’s third market in the St. Louis area.

The restaurants would add to the 13 Dunkin’ Donuts locations already in the market.
