Dunkin' discussing potential sale

Dunkin' Brands, the owner of the Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin Robbins chains, is discussing a sale.

Company officials confirmed preliminary discussions with Inspire Brands, a private equity-backed restaurant company.

Dunkin' reportedly would be taken private if it sells to Inspire Brands. The latter company owns Arby's and Jimmy John's.
