Drury taps communications firm exec for VP role

Posted online
Drury University hired a St. Louis communications firm executive to fill a recently vacated vice president role.

Wendy Flanagan, who most recently worked as executive vice president and general manager for FleishmanHillard, is scheduled to start at the Springfield liberal arts college April 10 as vice president of marketing and communications, according to a news release.

She succeeds Jann Holland, who held the job for six years before accepting a position in January as CoxHealth’s associate vice president of marketing and communications.

In her new role, Flanagan will be in charge of media relations, communications, employee engagement and brand management.

“Drury is embarking on an important journey to reimagine its future, ensuring that it continues to provide a unique and differentiated educational experience,” Flanagan said in the release. “I can't think of anything more rewarding than helping to define and communicate the Drury brand.”
