The store, previously owned by the Council of Churches of the Ozarks, was scheduled to close permanently at the end of a January half-off sale. The council had intended to operate the store for six months after it was donated in June by owners Shannon Crawford and Kim Brayman.
In an agreement reached Feb. 2, the SIFE team will assume the shop's operations at no cost to the university and complete the winter sale before closing temporarily.
Cosignors can pick up unsold items between 10 a.m. and 4 a.m. Feb. 13-18, and the store will reopen March 1 with spring and summer fashions.
“I'm confident that SIFE will bring good expertise, fresh ideas and a strong labor force to En'Core,” said David Hockensmith, council executive director, in a news release. “Those of us at the council are pleased that En'Core continues and (that) the students will benefit from the experience.”
En'Core is located at 1636 S. Glenstone and specializes in new and slightly used designer, upscale and store-brand clothing and accessories.
