The team, which recently won its third U.S. Championship in four years, is pictured on about 250,000 cereal and Eggo Waffles boxes.
The products have yet to be delivered to Wal-Mart Supercenter, 2021 E. Independence, where team members were scheduled to sign autographs last Saturday.
The back of the boxes features team member Frank Bennett II describing his SIFE experience.
“I am a better person,” he says on the box. “It has made me see the world differently, inspired me to empower others and has helped me to realize my own potential.”
Bennett is a 2005 Drury graduate now enrolled in Drury’s Master of Business Administration program.
Drury SIFE projects include DSIFE Inc., a small business incubator in Springfield, and educational programs that use community service to promote local entrepreneurship and economic knowledge.
The team will represent the United States at the SIFE World Cup international championship in Toronto, Oct. 5–7.
