Drury University and Ozarks Technical Community College Tuesday took second runner-up and third runner-up, respectively, in their divisions in the finals of Students in Free Enterprise’s national competition in Dallas.

Drury placed third out of four contenders in the final round for four-year schools. La Sierra University from California nabbed the top spot, followed by the University of Arizona; Heritage University of Washington placed fourth.

Drury has won the national title three times in previous years, and has gone on to win the SIFE World Championship twice.

In the two-year school division, OTC took fourth out of eight finalists. Blue Ridge Community College from Virginia took top honors.

Evangel University’s SIFE team also competed at the national level but did not advance to finals. The team stayed in Dallas to support the other local teams.

College of the Ozarks’ SIFE team was named a finalist in the opening round of the national competition, but did not advance further.

Drury, OTC, Evangel and College of the Ozarks all took regional wins earlier this year.
