Drury names new safety director

Deeds has been serving in the position on an interim basis for two months, after former director Kevin French left for personal reasons. She previously was associate director for five years.

There were nearly 40 applicants for the position, and three finalists were interviewed by members of the management team, faculty, staff, security department, student affairs staff and students.

Deeds’ previous experience includes serving as a sergeant in the Oklahoma City Police Department for 14 years and as a felony investigator in the Missouri Attorney General’s Office.
