Drury names new Edward Jones center director

Posted online
A Drury graduate has been named director of the school's Edward Jones Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Kelley Still is the new director, taking over for John Schnoebelen, who has served as the center's interim director since October 2009. He took over when Dawn Hiles took the position as the school's dean of admission.

Still, a graduate of Drury's Master of Business Administration program, has a doctorate in accounting from the University of Oklahoma. She has taught tax, financial statement analysis and management decision analysis at Drury for 15 years, and she also directs the school's annual free-income tax service for low-income and senior citizen taxpayers.

"We have worked with Dr. Still and her students and have benefited from her passion and leadership,” Jack Stack, CEO of SRC Holdings and a member of Drury’s Board of Trustees, said in a university news release. “She has done a terrific job as a professor, but more importantly she was the consummate advocate for Drury and her students. She is the perfect person for this position.”

According to the release, Still plans to focus on three major aspects of her position: curriculum and service to university, the community, and entrepreneurship research.
Drury founded the Edward Jones center in January 2007 through contributions from school board Chairman John Beuerlein, his wife Crystal, and St. Louis financial services firm Edward Jones.

The center's vision, according to the release, is to give entrepreneurs the skills and knowledge necessary to create new and innovative ventures.
