Drury University has found a new director for the Breech School of Business Administration.
Michael Shirley, currently the dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Central Oklahoma, will take the reins at the Breech school July 1, Drury announced Monday.
He replaces Robert Wyatt, who left Drury last spring to take over as president of Coker College in South Carolina.
Shirley, who also is a professor of legal studies, has been with UCO for more than 25 years, including stints as a department chair, executive assistant to the president, and associate vice president for academic affairs. He earned his undergraduate degree from Oklahoma State University in 1978 and a law degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1981.
"The opportunity to work in collaboration with the talented faculty, staff and students of Drury, continuing its long-standing tradition and commitment to academic excellence, is an incredible and exciting privilege," Shirley said in a news release.
Professor of Economics Bill Rohlf will continue to serve as the Breech school's interim director until Shirley arrives in July.[[In-content Ad]]
